Q1. How much work will it mean for me as a teacher?
The majority of the project supervision and facilitation is performed by the engineer(s). The role of the teacher (see guidance notes on 'Role of the Teacher') is to ensure the students are in regular communication with the engineer(s) and each other. Monitoring the project progress and liaising with the engineer(s) throughout the project phase is required. Significant teacher input is required with regards to team selection, compilation of the project report and preparation for the Celebration and Assessment Day (CAD). Number of hours input is variable. Teacher attendance at the scheme launch, university workshop and CAD are essential.
